We have enjoyed tremendously staying in Ruvy and Iris's apartment. First of all, Ruvy and Iris are incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful, and caring hosts. They made us feel welcome and comfortable from the minute we arrived. We were treated as friends, and immediately felt at home and at ease. Even the food that was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived was exactly what we would have wanted to buy for ourselves. The apartment has virtually everything, but if something is missing, just ask, and Ruvy and Iris are very happy to help. The apartment is a unit in their house (separate entrance), so the hosts are always available, if you need anything at all. Secondly, the apartment is newly renovated (we were the first guests since the renovation), and is in great condition. This is the first temporary accommodation that we arrive at (at we have been to quite a few), that I can say that the pictures do not do it justice. In spite of its relatively small size, it is very well designed. Things are really thought through. It is clear that a lot of thought and effort has been put into this place. The location was perfect for us. It is a very short train ride from Tel Aviv (the train station is walking distance, and a really easy bike ride - two bikes come with the apartment), but is at the same time in a quiet and green neighbourhood. We have very much enjoyed the patio/terrace (which is bigger than it seemed on the pictures, and in addition has now many nice plants). One can take many nice walks in the area. Pretty much anything you need is walking distance: small grocery stores (one has a surprisingly good selection of high quality products; another one, much more basic, is open every day till late), nice bakeries (fresh bread, pastries); the beaches of Hertzeliya are only about half an hour of pleasant walk, and we enjoy them more than beaches in Tel Aviv; buses to Tel Aviv, the north, and of course to Hertzeliya (the Interdisciplinary Center is 1 bus stop away; also a short bike ride, and even walkable, but not such a pleasant walk due to constructions). Of course if you plan on renting a car and exploring the country or the area, this location has an additional advantage over Tel Aviv - there is a parking space. In short, we could not recommend Ruvy and Iris's place more. It has now become our favorite accommodation in Israel, and we would happily stay there on every future visit.
